Judges and nominators include some of the most high profile collectors and thought leaders in the art world. The panel of seven judges, selected by LUX, each appoints two nominators, who in turn nominate three artists to submit works conforming to each year’s theme.
Throughout the judging process the judges, nominators and photographers all publicise the competition on their social and other media to create an organic buzz around the prize.
There are exhibitions of shortlisted candidates in London and Paris and a gala event for the Prize announcement. Guests include major art collectors, artists and leaders in sustainability. The event receives extensive publicity on social media, mainstream media and through our own channels.
